Every movement begins with a simple idea — ours started with a bean.
In 2020, Black Bean Café opened its doors in Indonesia with one goal: to make exceptional coffee accessible while building meaningful human connections. We weren’t trying to reinvent coffee — we wanted to redefine what it meant to enjoy it.
From those early days, we focused on three things that still guide us today:
- Uncompromising quality: Every bean is carefully selected, roasted to perfection, and brewed with precision.
- Sustainability: We support responsible sourcing practices that respect the environment and the farmers who make it all possible.
- Community: Our cafés are built to bring people together — travelers, locals, artists, dreamers, and everyone in between.
What started as a single café in Jakarta, Indonesia has blossomed into a family of welcoming spaces across Cambodia, the Philippines, and India. Each new location reflects local traditions while preserving the essence of our original vision — to serve warmth, authenticity, and belonging in every cup.
We believe great coffee has no borders. That’s why our menu evolves with each culture we touch. In Phnom Penh, you might find a Cambodian coconut cold brew. In Manila, a sweet caramel macchiato infused with Filipino sugarcane. In Gurugram, a Southeast Asian-style espresso with a touch of spice.
